Event Overview
The Bank of America Chicago 13.1 is a half marathon race set on Chicago's West Side. The event aims to bring runners outside the city's central Loop area to explore its neighborhoods.
Course
The 13.1-mile course starts and finishes in Garfield Park. It weaves through the West Side, passing through the historic parks and boulevards of the area. The route includes scenic loops through Douglass Park and Humboldt Park.
Race Day Festival
A free outdoor Race Day Festival takes place in Garfield Park. It features entertainment, health and wellness activities, and community activations.
Registration
General registration for the 2026 event is sold out. Entries are still available through the official Charity Program. A paid Race Day Packet Pick-up option is available for the first 600 participants who select it during registration. The event has an Adaptive Program for athletes with impairments. Requirements
- Participants must be 14 years or older on race day.
- A time limit of 3 hours and 15 minutes is enforced to complete the course.
- The sale or transfer of race entries is prohibited.
- All entry fees are nonrefundable.
