Event overview
The Bank of America Chicago 13.1 is a half marathon held on June 7, 2026. The race distance is 13.1 miles. A free Race Day Festival will take place outdoors in Garfield Park and will include entertainment, health and wellness activities, and community activations. An Adaptive Program is offered to provide accessibility for athletes with impairments.
Course and location
The course runs through neighborhoods on Chicago’s West Side. It starts and finishes in Garfield Park and includes loops through Douglass Park and Humboldt Park, as well as historic parks and boulevards on the West Side.
Entry and requirements
General registration for the 2026 event is sold out; entries remain available through the event’s Charity Program, and only participating charities have access to guaranteed entries. Participants must be 14 years or older on race day. Those aged 14 to 17 must have permission from a parent or legal guardian given during the application process. Runners must be able to complete the 13.1 miles within three hours and 15 minutes (3:15:59). Race entries and bib transfers are not allowed and all entry fees and ancillary purchases are nonrefundable. Race day Packet Pick-up may be purchased for $30 for the first 600 participants who select and pay for that option.
