St. Patrick's 5K Run and Walk
The Village of Evergreen Park Leprechaun Leap is a community athletics event held in Evergreen Park, Illinois. The event features a 5 km course designed for both runners and walkers. The race starts and finishes near the Evergreen Park Community Center at 3450 W 97th St.
This family-friendly event is open to participants of all ages and abilities, including those with strollers. The course accommodates competitive runners as well as those participating for leisure. The event utilizes disposable chip timing technology attached to race bibs. To ensure accurate results, participants must wear their bibs on the front of their clothing and avoid covering the timing chip with smart devices.

Awards are presented to the top overall male and female finishers. Additionally, recognition is given to the top three male and female finishers in several age categories, including 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 and older.
The event includes a post-race celebration featuring music, refreshments, and various activities. Registered participants receive commemorative gear, although race shirts are only guaranteed for those who register by mid-March.
