Bank of America Shamrock Shuffle
The Bank of America Shamrock Shuffle is a spring running event in Chicago scheduled for March 21, 2027. The primary race is an 8K that weaves through Chicago’s Loop and starts and finishes in Grant Park. The event attracts repeat participants and a broad range of athletes, from professional competitors to recreational runners.
The event program includes multiple distance options:
- 8K Run
- 2-Mile Walk
- The Mile
Registered participants for the 8K receive a Nike race shirt, a festive commemorative item, an official finisher’s medal, an event bib number and timing device, and a drink ticket valid for one beer at the post-race party. Valid identification and age verification are required to purchase or consume alcoholic beverages at the post-race party.
An Adaptive Program is available to provide accessibility for athletes with permanent visual, intellectual, or physical impairments.
Entry requirements for the 8K include the ability to maintain a 15:00 per mile pace and complete the course within the event time limit of 1:15:59. Participants must be at least 8 years old on race day; those under 18 need a parent or legal guardian statement permitting participation. Sale or transfer of entries is prohibited and entry fees are non-refundable. All participants must follow applicable public health guidelines and the event rules.
