Registration, services and rules
The entry fee for the 8K run is listed between $51 and $72 (USD). A limited packet-mailing option is available to the first 6,000 participants who pay $25; that option ships the event bib, participant t-shirt and a promotional item. Registered participants receive a Nike race shirt, a festive promotional item, an official finisher’s medal, an event bib number and a timing device. The post-race party includes a drink ticket for one (1) beer; alcohol is available only to those 21 years or older with valid ID.
The event offers an Adaptive Program for athletes with permanent visual, intellectual or physical impairments. Entry rules require participants to complete the full distance at a minimum pace of 15:00 per mile and finish within the event time limit of 1:15:59. Participants must be at least 8 years old on race day; those under 18 need a parent or guardian statement. Race entries are non-transferable and non-refundable.
