Chasing Our Dreams 5K Run/Walk
Chasing Our Dreams is a community fundraising 5K run/walk held on Saturday, October 3, 2026, at PBO Fields, 7701 W. College Drive, Palos Heights, Illinois. The event is presented by the Palos Baseball Organization, a volunteer-run nonprofit with a 60+ year history that operates recreational teams for children ages 7 to 14. The organization fields over 500 youth across approximately 46 teams.
The 5K is intended to raise funds primarily for the program’s multiple 12U teams, which have the opportunity to attend a major tournament, while also serving as a broader community engagement initiative. The course is USATF certified.
Registration fees vary by registration period: an early-bird fee of $40, a subsequent fee of $45, and a race-day fee of $55; processing fees are included in the displayed amounts. Registration by September 12 guarantees a race day shirt size. Sponsorship logo submission opportunities are available through September 12, 2026.
Packet pick-up is scheduled on September 28 and September 30, with additional race day registration and packet pick-up on October 3. Every participant receives a medal; awards include Best Overall and first through third place in male and female divisions across age groups: 11 & under, 12–17, 18–29, 30–39, 40–49, and 50+.
