Chasing Our Dreams - 5K Run/Walk
Chasing Our Dreams is a community 5K Run/Walk held on October 3, 2026 at PBO Fields, 7701 W. College Drive, Palos Heights, Illinois. The event is presented by the Palos Baseball Organization and is intended as both a fundraiser and a community kickoff for the season.
The primary fundraising goal is to support the organization’s multiple 12U teams, which are the only age group in the program with the opportunity to attend a major tournament. The event also aims to bring together families, residents, and local partners to mark the start of the season.
Registration pricing tiers are listed with processing fees included: Early Bird $40 (Jul 22–Sep 1, includes $4.79 processing fee), $45 (Sep 2–Oct 2, includes $5.14 processing fee), and Race Day $55 (Oct 3, includes $5.83 processing fee). Register by September 12 to guarantee a race day shirt size. Sponsorship opportunities for logo submission are available through September 12.
The course is USATF certified for a 5K distance. Each participant receives a medal; awards include Best Overall and 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in male and female divisions for the following age groups: 11 and under, 12–17, 18–29, 30–39, 40–49, and 50 and over.
Palos Baseball Organization is a 60 plus year nonprofit run entirely by volunteers. Its recreational program serves youth ages 7 to 14 and comprises over 500 players on approximately 46 teams.
