Course and Theme
The Muddy Waters 5k-A Spirits Run at Fat Tommy's is a 5K running and walking event in Crestwood, Illinois. It is inspired by the legacy of blues musician Muddy Waters and local history. The route starts and finishes at Fat Tommy's on Cal Sag Road. The course includes a turnaround point at Restvale Cemetery.
Event Format
This is a Spirits Run event, which incorporates a story and character into the route. The run features checkpoints with optional, light tasks and a mini scavenger challenge woven into the course. Walkers, runners, and participants with strollers are welcome.
Post-Race and Swag
Registered participants receive food included with their registration, served by Fat Tommy's. The post-race celebration includes music and photos. Participants receive a custom race bib, a collectible stamp for an Illinois Adventure Series passport, a finisher's wooden medal, and a collector's drink cup.
