The Muddy Waters 5k: A Spirits Run at Fat Tommy’s
The Muddy Waters 5k is a themed running event held in Midlothian and Crestwood, Illinois. The event is part of the Spirits Run series, which focuses on local history and community storytelling. This specific race honors the legacy of musician Muddy Waters and the blues heritage of the Chicago area.

Participants receive a custom race bib and a collectible stamp for the Illinois Adventure Series passport. All finishers are awarded a wooden medal and a collectors drink cup. Registration includes food provided by Fat Tommy’s after the event. The post-race area features music and photography. Spectators may also attend and have the option to purchase food on-site.
