Ayrodynamic Turkey Trot 10km road race
The Ayrodynamic Turkey Trot is a 10 km road race held in Ayr on 27 December 2026. The course follows the Ayr promenade beachfront, heads toward Doonfoot via the Millennium Bridge, continues up to Greenan Castle as the turn point, and returns along the same route to finish on the promenade near the harbour.
Race headquarters are at the Cutty-Sark Centre, 40 High Street, Ayr, with the race start adjacent to the Citadel Leisure Centre on South Harbour Street. Competitors must collect their race number and timing chip in person at Race HQ; the start is about a 600 m walk from registration.
Entry is pre-entry only. Standard entry is £20 plus booking fee, with a discounted rate of £18 plus booking fee for SAF members; online entries close at midnight on 19 December 2026. No refunds and no entry transfers are permitted in accordance with Scottish Athletics rules. Total places are limited to 400.
Chip timing will be used. There are no water stations on the course; water will be available at the finish. There are no changing or showering facilities on site and car parking is not provided. The route will be marshalled, and first aid and medical cover will be provided. A small prize giving will take place at the finish for first, second and third overall in Open and Female categories.
