Ayrodynamic Triathlon Club Turkey Trot 10k
The Ayrodynamic Triathlon Club Turkey Trot is a 10 km road race in Ayr on 27 December 2026. The course runs along the Ayr promenade beach front, heads toward Doonfoot over the Millennium Bridge, continues up to Greenan Castle for the turn point, and returns along the same route to finish on the beach promenade near the harbour.
Registration and race number collection are based at the Cutty-Sark Centre, 40 High Street, Ayr. Each competitor must collect their own race number and timing chip in person. The start area is adjacent to the Citadel Leisure Centre; the walk from the registration HQ to the start is about 600 m. The event is pre-entry only and online entries close at midnight on 19 December 2026. Entry fees are £20 plus booking fee, with a discounted rate of £18 plus booking fee for qualifying members until the online entry deadline. No refunds are given and entries may not be transferred between runners in accordance with Scottish Athletics rules.
Chip timing will record race times. There are no water stations on the course; water will be provided at the finish. Car parking is not provided and there are no changing or shower facilities on site. The route will be marshalled and first aid and medical cover will be present. A small prize giving will take place after the race for first, second and third in overall and female categories. Scottish Athletics permit pending.
