Event overview
The Culzean Castle Trail Runs take place on 1 March 2026 at Culzean Castle and Country Park, Maybole, KA19 8LE. This is the third edition of the trail runs at the estate. The park covers 642 acres of gardens, beaches, woodland and trails and includes features such as a Swan Pond, ice house, formal gardens and fruit glasshouses. Route maps are provided for each distance.
Distances and entry
- 5km - ages 11+
- 10km - ages 15+
- Half Marathon (13.10 miles) - ages 17+
Race entry prices listed in the event information start at £24 for the 5km, £27 for the 10km and £29 for the half marathon. An event T-shirt can be purchased for £12 when signing up; combined race-plus-T-shirt options are also shown in the entry details. Registration opens 30 May 2025 and closes 25 February 2026.
Facilities and rules
The event is Canicross friendly; one controlled dog is allowed per runner. Live chip-timing is provided by Timing Up North. All finishers receive an event medal, Wild Deer merchandise, and a snack and drink. Parking is charged at £6 per vehicle and a parking pass includes access to the grounds for entrants and spectators.
