Culzean Castle Trail Runs
Wild Deer Events returns to Culzean Castle and Country Park on 7 March 2027 for its trail running event at Culzean Castle, Maybole KA19 8LE. The estate covers 642 acres of gardens, beaches, woodland and trails and includes a Swan Pond, ice house, formal gardens and fruit glasshouses. The castle sits on the Ayrshire cliffs and was designed by Robert Adam in the late 18th century.
Event distances include:
- 5 km Trail Run (ages 11 and over)
- 10 km Trail Run (ages 15 and over)
- Half Marathon Trail Run (ages 17 and over)
Route maps are provided for each distance. The event is Canicross friendly and allows one controlled dog per runner. Live chip timing is provided by Timing Up North.
All finishers receive an event medal, Wild Deer merchandise and a snack and drink. An event T-shirt is available to purchase for £12 at sign up. Entry fees for distances are listed at £25 for the 5 km, £28 for the 10 km and £32 for the half marathon.
Parking is charged at £6 per vehicle. A parking pass must be purchased for entrants and includes access to the grounds for entrants and spectators; entrants will be contacted with further details before the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
