Culzean Castle Trail Runs
The event returns to Culzean Castle and Country Park on 7 March 2027. It takes place within the 642 acre estate in Ayrshire, which includes gardens, beaches, woodland and trails. The castle, sited on the Ayrshire cliffs and designed by Robert Adam in the late 18th century, forms a prominent backdrop.
Three trail distances are offered:
- 5km Trail Run (ages 11+)
- 10km Trail Run (ages 15+)
- Half Marathon Trail Run (ages 17+)
Live chip timing is provided by Timing Up North. The event is canicross friendly and allows one controlled dog per runner. All finishers receive an event medal, Wild Deer merchandise, and a snack and drink. An event T shirt is available to purchase for £12.
Parking is charged at £6 per vehicle and a car parking pass is required even for National Trust for Scotland members because the event starts outside usual opening times. A parking pass includes access to the grounds for entrants and spectators during the event. Entry prices listed for the event range from £25 to £32 depending on distance.
