Monkton Milers Santa Dash 2026
The Monkton Milers Santa Dash takes place on 6 December 2026 at the Sunken Garden in Troon. The event is in its seventh year and is raising funds for Troon Mens Shed. It is open to everyone aged over four; children under eleven must be accompanied within arm's reach by a parent, guardian or appropriate adult, with a recommended ratio of two children aged 4 to 11 per adult runner.
The route uses the original Troon parkrun course. It is a flat course that starts at the Sunken Garden, heads north along the South Beach Esplanade, includes a small loop near the end of the promenade, then returns to finish close to the Sunken Gardens.
The run is chip timed; numbers and timing chips are collected at registration. All finishers receive a medal and are offered water and a sweet treat. Fancy dress is optional, with Santas, Mrs Claus and Elves commonly seen on the prom.
Additional event stalls include a tombola, raffle and a cake stall. Cash is preferred on the day, although card payments will also be accepted. Entry categories listed are Age 12 and over at £12.50 and Age 4 to 11 at £8.00, with those prices valid until 8 November 2026. At the time of listing the event was operating a waiting list.
