Event Overview
The Asheville Chamber Challenge is a community event held in Asheville, North Carolina. Managed by the Asheville Area Chamber of Commerce, the event aims to promote wellness through competition between local businesses. Participation is open to employees, family members, and friends.
Participants can choose between two primary formats:
- 5k (in-person)
- 5k (virtual)
The in-person event starts at the Asheville Area Chamber of Commerce located at 36 Montford Avenue. For those choosing the virtual option, results can be submitted remotely. The challenge is open to both walkers and runners.
Race Logistics
A drive-thru packet pickup is held the day before the race at the Asheville Chamber parking lot. Participants must enter from Montford Avenue and exit via Hill Street. Successive registration periods are available, with fees increasing closer to the event date. Registration must be completed in advance as there is no registration or packet pickup available on the day of the race itself.
Registrants who sign up by the mid-April deadline receive a short sleeve race shirt. After this date, shirts are subject to limited size and quantity availability. The event also includes fundraising opportunities for the PCI Fund of the Community Betterment Foundation and offers various awards and prizes for participants.
