Event overview
The St. Paddy's Day 5k takes place on March 14, 2026, at Trailside Brewing Co in Hendersonville, North Carolina. The event is presented by Benton Roofing and lists the Mills River Partnership as its nonprofit partner; a portion of race proceeds will be donated to the Mills River Partnership. The 5k registration includes a finisher medal, a long sleeve race shirt, chip timing, one Trailside beer (21+) or a nonalcoholic beverage, and a donation to the Mills River Partnership. The Little Leprechaun Dash is an untimed 0.25 mile sprint that includes a finisher medal and race bib; youth small and medium shirt sizes are available and parents may run or walk alongside children. The virtual 5k option ships the race shirt, medal, and bib to U.S. addresses and is not eligible for awards.
Course, policies and awards
Strollers are allowed but are asked to start at the back of the pack. Dogs are allowed at the brewery but are not permitted to run with participants during the race; service animals are allowed with prior approval and supporting documentation. Awards for the 5k include overall 1st-3rd in male, female, and nonbinary categories, 1st place Masters (40+), 1st place Grand Masters (50+), and age-group awards in standard decade brackets; virtual runners are not eligible for awards.
Transfers and refunds
Transfers to another runner or to the virtual option are allowed up to five days before the event. The event has a no refund and no deferral policy; an optional Race Roster Enhanced Refund Protection program is available through a third party and does not guarantee a refund.
