Event Information
The Asheville Marathon and Half, presented by New Belgium Brewing, is scheduled for March 21, 2026. The event takes place at Pack Square Park, Court Plaza in Asheville, North Carolina. Participants can choose from two in-person distances: a marathon and a half marathon. There are also virtual options for both distances.
The course showcases the city, running through historic neighborhoods, downtown streets, the River Arts District, and along the French Broad River Greenway. The event is USATF sanctioned. The half marathon course is USATF certified. The marathon course is intended to be recertified as a Boston Marathon qualifier before race day.
Included with Entry
Registration includes a finisher medal, a dri-fit event shirt (available in unisex and women's sizes until February 8, 2026), a goody bag, complimentary race photos, and a post-race beverage (a beer from New Belgium Brewing for those 21+ or ice cream). Participants also receive access to a pre-race expo and a complimentary shuttle service to and from a host hotel. There is an option to have the race bib and shirt mailed in advance for a fee. Live music is featured along the course and at the finish.
