Asheville Marathon and Half : event overview
The Asheville Marathon and Half is presented by New Belgium and takes place in Asheville, NC on March 21, 2026. The race starts and finishes at Pack Square Park, Court Plaza in downtown Asheville. The courses run through historic neighborhoods, downtown streets, the River Arts District, and along the French Broad River Greenway. The half marathon is USATF certified. The marathon will be recertified and sanctioned before race day as a Boston-qualifying event. The City of Asheville permit is pending and the course is subject to change. This event is the first race in the Appalachian Trilogy series.

Entries, services and logistics
Registered participants receive a commemorative finisher medal, a complimentary dri-fit event shirt (unisex and women's sizes), a goody bag, chip timing with live results, course markings, complimentary race photos, and a post-race beverage from New Belgium Brewing. The event offers a complimentary shuttle between host hotels and the race, live music on course and at the finish, and local prizes. Packet Pickup + Race Expo is scheduled the day before the race at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Asheville - Biltmore Village. Emergency bib pickup is available on race day at the Hilton Garden Inn Asheville Downtown. There is an option to have shirt and bib mailed in advance for a fee; mailed packets are estimated to ship about 1.5 to 2 weeks before the race.
