Event overview
The Asheville Marathon and Half, presented by New Belgium, takes place in Asheville, North Carolina on March 21, 2026. The event starts and finishes at Pack Square Park, Court Plaza in downtown Asheville. The courses run through historic neighborhoods, downtown streets, the River Arts District, and along the French Broad River Greenway. The course permit is pending and the route is subject to change.

The half marathon course is USATF certified. The marathon will be recertified and sanctioned before race day as a Boston-qualifying event. The event is part of the Appalachian Trilogy series and is listed as the first event in that series.
Packet pickup and a race expo are part of the event. Entries include a dri-fit event shirt (unisex and women's sizes), a commemorative finisher medal, a goody bag, complimentary race photos, and a complimentary post-race beer or ice cream.
