Asheville Marathon and Half
The Asheville Marathon and Half, presented by New Belgium, returns in 2027 and marks the event's 15th year. The event is based at Pack Square Park / Court Plaza in Asheville, North Carolina, and offers two distance options.
The courses showcase Asheville features including historic neighborhoods, downtown streets, the River Arts District, and sections along the French Broad River Greenway. Both the half and the marathon are USATF certified. Certification numbers are: Half Marathon NC26001DF and Marathon NC26002DF. The marathon is a Boston-qualifying course. The City of Asheville permit is listed as pending and the course is subject to change.
Entry benefits listed for participants include a complimentary dri-fit event shirt available in unisex and women's sizes (subject to availability), a commemorative finisher medal, a goody bag, free access to the pre-race expo, a complimentary shuttle from the finish to the host hotel (noted as a $20 value), a complimentary post-race beer or ice cream for those 21 and over, live music on course and at the finish, professional chip timing with live results, course markings, spectator-friendly routing, complimentary race photos, and locally made prizes. Packet pickup and the race expo are scheduled at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Asheville Downtown the day before the race, with emergency bib pickup available on race morning.
