Asheville Marathon and Half
The Asheville Marathon and Half is scheduled for March 20, 2027 in Pack Square Park, Court Plaza, Asheville, NC. The event is presented by New Belgium and includes in-person and virtual options.

Both the half and the marathon are USATF certified (Half Certification NC26001DF, Marathon Certification NC26002DF). The marathon is a Boston qualifying course. The course passes through downtown Asheville, historic neighborhoods, the River Arts District, and sections along the French Broad River. The City of Asheville permit is listed as pending and the course is subject to change.
Included with entry are a commemorative finisher medal, a complimentary dri-fit event shirt in unisex and women’s sizes, a goody bag, access to the pre-race expo, chip timing with live results, course markings, live music on course and at the finish, spectator-friendly routing, complimentary post-race beer for attendees 21 and older, and complimentary race photos. A shuttle from the finish back to the host hotel is provided as an included value.
Packet pickup and expo take place Friday, March 19 from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Asheville Downtown (192 Haywood St). Extremely limited emergency bib pickup is scheduled Saturday morning at the same location. Participants may choose pre-event shipping of their shirt and bib for a $20 fee; shipped packets are packed roughly 1.5 to 2 weeks before race day.
Registration policies note that registrations are non-refundable. Options include transferring to the virtual event, deferral up to 15 days before race day (deferral fee for half and marathon is $25), or changing race distance. If the event is converted to a virtual experience, in-person registrations will be transferred and participant swag will be mailed. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
