Event
An Res Hellys is a 10 mile multi-terrain run on Sunday 8 March 2026. The race starts and finishes in Helston, at the Old Cattle Market (TR13 0SR). The route passes through the National Trust Penrose Estate. The event is part of the Cornwall Grand Prix Road Racing Series.
Entries and categories
Entry is open for ages 17 and older. Entry fees listed are £18 for UKA members and £20 for non-members. The race will be chip timed, with placings awarded using gun-to-chip time. Timing chips are worn on the ankle and must be returned after the race. The first 400 entries are guaranteed an event medal.
Categories include overall male and female finishers, age-group prizes for multiple veteran categories, and team prizes with six counters per team.
Logistics and rules
Registration takes place at the Old Cattle Market race headquarters and pre-entries must collect their race number on the day. There is no official baggage storage; bags can be left in the hall at the owner’s risk. Toilets are available at Race HQ and extra toilets are at the Lakeside Café. Food and drink can be purchased at the Lakeside Café. There are no changing rooms or showers.
Parking is limited. Free parking is available at the Fairground Car Park about 400 m from Race HQ; additional small car parks and some on-road parking are also noted. The Old Cattle Market private car park is for race officials only.
MP3 players and personal audio devices are banned. Dogs, wheelchairs, wheeled carriages and cycles are not permitted, and competitors cannot be accompanied or followed during the race. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
