An Res Hellys is a multi-terrain running race. The route is a 10 mile (approximately 16 kilometre) loop, starting and finishing in Helston. The course goes through the Penrose Estate, which is a National Trust property.
Event Details
The event is the fourth race in the Cornwall Grand Prix Road Racing Series. Registration takes place at the Old Cattle Market in Helston. Parking is available at the nearby Fairground Car Park, approximately 400 meters from the Race HQ. Access to this car park will be restricted for a period around the race start due to a road closure.
The race uses chip timing, with chips worn on the ankle and to be returned after finishing. According to series rules, the use of personal audio devices (like MP3 players) is not permitted during the race. The first 400 entries are guaranteed a finisher's medal.
