Event details

An Res Hellys takes place in Helston on 8 March 2026. It is a 10 mile multi-terrain run that starts and finishes at the Old Cattle Market, Helston, TR13 0SR. The route passes through the National Trust Penrose Estate and is run as part of the Cornwall Grand Prix Road Racing Series. The event is organised by IntoTRI Cornwall. Entry is open from 23 November 2025 until 6 March 2026. The minimum age to enter is 17. Entry fees are listed as £18 for ARC/UKA affiliated runners and £20 for non-affiliated runners. At the time of this listing there are 88 participants entered.

Race information and rules

The race uses chip timing; placings will be awarded using gun-to-chip time. Timing chips are worn on the ankle and must be returned after the race. The first 3 male and female finishers are awarded overall places. Age-group prizes include Under 35 and veteran categories from 35 through 75+. Team prizes are awarded to male and female teams (six to count). MP3 players and personal audio devices are banned. Dogs, wheelchairs, wheeled carriages and cycles are also banned, and competitors may not be accompanied or followed on the course.

Logistics and facilities

Race headquarters is at the Old Cattle Market. There is no official baggage storage; bags may be left in the hall at the owner’s risk. Toilets are available at the Race HQ and additional toilets are at the Lakeside Café. Food and drink can be purchased at the Lakeside Café. Parking is limited; free parking is available at the Fairground Car Park about 400 m from the Race HQ, with a small number of additional spaces at nearby council car parks.
