About the race
An Res Hellys is a multi terrain road and trail run based in Helston, Cornwall. The event starts and finishes at the Old Cattle Market, TR13 0SR, and follows a one loop route that passes through the National Trust Penrose Estate. It is held as part of the Cornwall Grand Prix Road Racing Series.

The race uses chip timing with ankle chips that must be returned after the event; placings are awarded using gun to chip time. Awards include overall top three male and female finishers, age category prizes across a range of veteran classes, and team prizes for male and female teams. The first 400 entries are guaranteed an event medal.
Facilities at Race HQ include toilets and access to food and drink at the Lakeside Café; there are no changing rooms or showers. Parking is limited; free parking is available at the Fairground Car Park about 400 m from Race HQ, with a small number of additional spaces at nearby council car parks and some on-road parking in adjacent residential areas. The Old Cattle Market private car park is reserved for race officials.
Race rules include a ban on personal audio devices and on dogs, wheelchairs, wheeled carriages and cycles. Marshals monitor compliance and wearing a personal audio device may result in disqualification. Volunteers support marshal, registration and finish area roles.
