Falmouth Mob Match
Falmouth Running Club hosts the 38th annual Mob Match on 29 November 2026. The event is a measured 5 mile road race run as a team competition. It is open to clubs affiliated to the Cornwall Road Running and Racing Group (CRRRG) and, following a trial, to all comers such as gyms, sports clubs and groups of friends. CRRRG clubs will remain in Divisions 1, 2 or 3 as per the 2025 race unless the race director is notified; all comers are placed in Division 3.
The course starts around Pendennis Headland, follows the Falmouth seafront past Gyllyngvase and Swanpool beaches, and finishes outside the Falmouth Hotel. Each finisher earns points that contribute to their team placing. There are prizes for male and female teams in each division and some mixed team prizes across divisions.
Practical details include a minimum age of 15 on race day, a race cut off of 90 minutes, first aid cover, bag drop at Race HQ, and toilets at Race HQ and on Castle Beach. Water will be available at the finish; there is no water station on course because of the race distance, though runners may bring a handheld bottle. Parking is available on surrounding roads and local car parks; the nearest train station is Falmouth Town.
Every finisher receives a Mob Match 26 long sleeve winter running top in male or female fit subject to availability for entries after 8 November. There are spot prize draws, post race presentations at Race HQ, a course accuracy certificate number 18/268, and a race licence pending.
