About the race
Falmouth Running Club hosts the 38th annual Mob Match on Sunday 29th November 2026. The event is a measured 5 miles road race that runs from around Pendennis Headland along Falmouth seafront, passing Gyllyngvase and Swanpool beaches, and finishes outside the Falmouth Hotel.
The Mob Match is organised as a team event. Clubs affiliated to the Cornwall Road Running and Racing Group (CRRRG) compete in divisions assigned from the 2025 race unless otherwise notified. All comers such as gyms, sports clubs and groups of friends are eligible and are placed in Division 3. Each finisher scores points towards their team placing. Prizes are awarded by division for male and female teams, with some mixed team prizes and additional spot prizes drawn at random.
Every finisher receives a Mob Match 26 long sleeve running top supplied in men's and ladies fits; entries after 8 November may not be guaranteed a top on the day. Other event provisions include first aid cover, toilets, a bag drop at Race HQ, bananas at the finish, a water station at Race HQ and water at the finish, and massages by Fit Foundation. There is on-site parking on surrounding roads and in local car parks including The Dell and Gylly Beach car park, and the nearest train station is Falmouth Town.
Minimum age is 15 on race day. Race cut-off time is 90 minutes. Course accuracy certificate number 18/268 and race licence pending. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
