Surprise birthday one mile track event at Edwards Stadium
A surprise birthday track event will be held on May 2, 2026, at Edwards Stadium on the UC Berkeley campus, 2223 Fulton St, Berkeley, CA 94704. The occasion marks the guest of honor turning 40 and takes place on the stadium's track.
The event program includes track races and a relay. Distances offered:
- 1 Mile, four laps on the track
- Run Club / Team 4x400m relay, four runners each running 400 m
Heats for the one mile will be seeded by projected finish time and an official timer will record results on site. Entry for the listed events is $19.86, a tribute to the guest of honor's year of birth. Registration is limited to the first 600 runners. Registration windows listed by the organizer are January 19, 2026 to May 2, 2026 for the one mile, and March 10, 2026 to April 20, 2026 for the relay. Relay teams will exchange a baton between runners.
