Event overview
The Devil Mountain Run is scheduled for Sunday, May 3, 2026, in downtown Danville, California (345 Railroad Avenue). This is the 46th running of the event. The 2026 program names the Down Syndrome Connection of the Bay Area as a beneficiary. The event introduces new USATF certified 5K and 10K courses for 2026 and offers finisher medals for all participants. The Mile of Truth is included as a PAUSATF grand prix championship event. Cash prizes apply to some Mile of Truth heats, subject to a minimum field size of 12 runners per heat. Overall and age-group awards are given for the 5K and 10K. The first 1,000 registered and paid runners receive a tech shirt; there are no t-shirts for the kids race. Refunds are not permitted. Entry transfers are allowed via the event platform.

Courses start on Railroad Avenue and use local streets including Danville Boulevard, Hartz Avenue, El Portal, and the Iron Horse Trail. Mile markers and water stations are provided on course; water is also at the start and finish. A secure athlete bag-drop is available in the registration area. Day-of registration and packet pickup are offered, and pre-race packet pickup is available at Forward Motion Sports in Danville. Parking is in designated areas off Railroad Avenue and San Ramon Valley Boulevard. Dogs and strollers are allowed only in the 5K and must start from the back of the field; all dogs must be leashed and owners must pick up after them.
