Always Ready 5K
The Cape May County Coast Guard Community Foundation presents the Always Ready 5K / K9 on Saturday, October 10, 2026. The event is a community gathering that includes Coast Guard personnel, their families, recruits, runners, and dogs.
This is a timed event that starts and finishes at Harborview Park. The course runs along Cape May Harbor, passes through the U.S. Coast Guard Training Center Cape May, and returns to Harborview Park.
The Always Ready program includes a K9 3K held in partnership with Lead the Way Dog Training. That partner uses a Positive Balanced Training approach to support dog and owner teamwork, behavior, and communication during real life situations.
Cape May Brewing Co. is the event partner for beer and will offer an Always Ready Pale Ale to participants aged 21 and over at the finish. Proof of legal drinking age is required and there will be an ID check.
