About the race
Dewey Goes Pink is an annual fundraising event in Dewey Beach held in conjunction with Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Proceeds support the Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition and its mission to "empower our community by raising awareness of breast health issues and increasing access to care through outreach, education, and support services, to facilitate early detection and treatment of breast cancer."
The event has grown into a large community gathering; a recent edition drew over 5,000 participants. The 2026 event is scheduled for Saturday, October 3, 2026. Registration and the online auction open on August 1, and auction items are added up until race day. The online auction is accessible to those who are not in town.

- 1 Mile Fun Walk
Post-race activities take place on Saulsbury Street in Dewey Beach and include food service provided by Bethany Blues BBQ, live music, and beverages such as beer, seltzers, and Pink Grapefruit Crushes. Event management is handled by GCFL Productions. Financial impact figures reported include a 2024 donation of $380,276 to the Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition and a 14-year total donation of $2,286,276.
