Lace Up for Ag Literacy 5K Run/Walk
The event is held at Hopkins Farm Creamery in Lewes, Delaware. The course is off-road and passes through farm pastures, hay bales, a barn, a covered bridge and around a pond, beginning and ending at the Hopkins Ice Cream location.
Distance options:
- 3.1 Miles : run or walk combination category
- 3.11 Miles : walk-only category
- 3.11 Miles : Silent Support registration option
Registration fees are set at $30 through October 4, 2026 and $35 after that date and on event day. A Silent Support option is available with a separate fee listed for that category. A free Kiddie K is offered for children 10 and under. The event uses chip timing managed by Seashore Striders.
Awards include unique prizes for overall male, female and master winners; top three male and female finishers in 10-year age groups from 10 and under through 70 and over; top five male and female finishers in the 5K walk; and awards for all Kiddie K finishers.
All participants receive a long sleeve event shirt. Results and event photos are published after the race by the organizing foundation. The event supports the Delaware Farm Bureau Foundation and its agricultural education initiatives. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
