About the race
An ALS Ride for Life fundraising event will take place on August 29, 2026 at Ronkonkoma Middle School in Ronkonkoma, New York. The event features a running and walking program with two options listed below. The event is presented in support of a medical trust fund for long-term care and for ALS Ride for Life, a registered charity serving the ALS community.

- 5K run
- 1 mile walk
Participants who register before August 1 are guaranteed event shirts. Registrants who sign up three weeks in advance receive a personalized bib. The first 100 finishers are guaranteed a medal. Live, text, and email results will be available, and finish line photos and video are provided free on the same day.
Registration includes processing fees and the total may vary based on donations or additional options. All registration fees are non-refundable and are used to cover race expenses. Team participation is optional and a team roster option is offered. Bib pickup is handled by event staff; last-minute registrants within 24 hours will receive their bib number by text shortly after registering.
Awards include top three overall places for male, female, and X categories, plus age-group awards spanning youth through 80 and over. Course routes are provided for the 5K and the 1 mile walk. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
