Event
The Islip Fire Department Turkey Trot is a community 5K taking place on November 27, 2025, in Islip, NY. The course starts at Richardson Lane and South Bay Avenue, goes south on South Bay to the beach, returns north on South Bay, turns left on Maple Avenue, then right on Monell Avenue and finishes at the Islip Fire Department. Camelbacks and backpacks are not permitted on the course. The first 350 finishers receive a medal. Proceeds benefit the Islip Fire Department.
Logistics
Personalized bibs are available for registrants who sign up three weeks before race day. Early bib pickup is offered at the Islip Fire Department on Monell Avenue on the Tuesday and Wednesday before the event between afternoon and evening hours; day-of pickup is available at the north-east corner of South Bay and Main Street. Parking is free in multiple town lots and along Main Street; organizers encourage car pooling due to increased event attendance. Amenities include live online, text, and email results plus free finish-line photos. Registration includes processing fees and there are non-refundable terms outlined for entrants.
