Course
The course starts at Richardson Lane and South Bay Avenue and finishes at the Islip Fire Department. Runners go south on South Bay to the beach, turn around a parking lot grass island, return north on South Bay, then turn left on Maple Avenue and right on Monell Avenue to the finish. Camelbacks and backpacks are not permitted on the course.
Logistics and amenities
Parking is free with no meters; available at Islip Town Hall (Nassau Ave and Main Street), behind businesses on the north side of Main Street (Locust Ave to Grant Ave), behind 401 Main Street, and a public lot at Main Street and Smith Ave. Early bib pickup is available at the Islip Fire Department (28 Monell Ave.) on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Race-morning bib pickup is available at the northeast corner of South Bay Ave. and Main Street, just east of Town Hall. Personalized bibs are offered if registered three weeks in advance. The first 600 finishers receive a medal. The event provides live/text/email results and free finish-line photos. Online recognition is noted for top finishers by overall and age-group categories.
