2026 Islip Fire Department Turkey Trot 5K
The Islip Fire Department Turkey Trot 5K is a community running event scheduled for November 26, 2026. This annual event takes place in Islip and utilizes various public areas for participant logistics.
Participants have several options for parking throughout the town, all of which are provided free of charge without the use of meters. Designated parking areas include the lots at Islip Town Hall located at the corner of Nassau Avenue and Main Street, covering both the east and west sides of the building. Additional town parking is available on the north side of Main Street behind local businesses between Locust Avenue and Grant Avenue.
Further parking facilities are located behind 401 Main Street and in the public lot situated on the west side of Smith Avenue, south of Main Street. Street parking is also available along Main Street at no cost. Due to the high number of participants attending the event, attendees are encouraged to use carpooling arrangements to manage the vehicle volume in these areas.
