8K Superhero Run : River Road
The event offers a themed road race with multiple distances along River Road next to the St. Johns River. The course begins at 156 Kingsley Avenue at the corner of Kingsley Avenue and Reed Street, follows River Road with a turnaround point determined by distance, and returns along the opposite side of the road to finish on Reed Street.
Distances include:
- 1 mile fun run (medals for children 13 and under)
- 5K road run along the St. Johns River, finisher medal
- 8K certified road run with finisher medal and age group and overall awards
Packet pickup is available at Grace Episcopal Day School on Thursday, February 12 and Friday, February 13 from 8 AM to 4 PM, and at the 1st Place Sports Baymeadows store on Friday, February 13 from 10 AM to 4 PM. Remaining packets will be moved to the race site for pickup beginning one hour before the race.
Entry fees vary by date with lower rates early and higher rates on race day; no refunds or transfers are allowed. A virtual option is available for the 1 mile, 5K, or 8K and virtual participants may pick up shirts and medals at packet pickup. Parking is available in surrounding shopping centers and at Moosehaven Retirement Community. Bikes and dogs are not permitted on the course and biking next to a runner may result in disqualification.
