5K To Fill the Room
This event at Ascarate Park in El Paso on April 17, 2027, combines running and walking with a community benefit. Proceeds and participant contributions provide essentials such as diapers, socks, and school supplies for children in foster care or with an open CPS case.
There are three timed and non-timed options offered:
- 5K run or walk
- 1 Mile family walk (non-timed, non-competitive)
- 50 m Kids Dash for children 10 and under
Registration opens July 8, 2026 and closes April 17, 2027. Listed registration fees are $30.00 for the 5K, $25.00 for the 1 Mile family walk, and $10.00 for the Kids Dash. Unisex shirts are provided to those who register on or before March 17, 2026; shirt and shirt size are not guaranteed for registrations after that date.
Awards include 1st, 2nd and 3rd place male and female in these age groups: 10 & Under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+. There will also be 1st Overall Male and 1st Overall Female awards and 1st, 2nd and 3rd largest team awards. Packet pickup details are to be determined.
