Run the Runway 5K - Augusta
Run the Runway is the sixth annual event held on March 13, 2027 at New Savannah Bluff Lock and Dam Park, 2116 Lock & Dam Rd, Augusta, GA 30906. The event uses the airport area and adjacent park space rather than the main airport terminal.
Distances offered:
- 3.1 Miles 5K for adults
- 1 Mile kids run for ages 8 to 12
- 1 Mile kids fun run for ages 7 and under
Registration details are published with an early pricing period that ends January 31, 2027. Published registration fees are $35.00 for adults, $30.00 for children ages 8 to 12, and $15.00 for children 7 and under. T-shirt availability is tied to registration deadlines.
The course surface is described as primarily concrete with some gravel and dirt. Vendors on site will provide water, fruit, and giveaways. Overflow parking will be available on the day of the event and golf cart shuttles will operate. Only service animals are allowed. Strollers and wheelchairs are permitted on the course. There is no rain day alternate.
Awards are given to the top three overall male and female finishers and to the top three male and female finishers in each listed age group: 8-12, 13-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 and up. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
