Tunnel to Towers 5K Run & Walk - Greater Augusta, GA
The Tunnel to Towers 5K Run & Walk in Greater Augusta is a community event held on September 5, 2026 at the Douglas Barnard Amphitheater, 2500 Walton Way, Augusta, GA 30904. The event is organized to honor first responders, remember September 11, 2001, and raise funds for Tunnel to Towers programs.
The course distance is 5K (3.1 miles) for running or walking. Registration categories and fees include adult ($25), first responders and military ($20), youth 13–17 ($10), and child 12 & under ($5). An initial online registration period runs from June 10 to June 17, 2026; online registration may remain available up to the start of the run. Day-of registration is available the morning of the event for an additional $5; shirts and sizes are not guaranteed for late registrants.
Packet pickup is available on race day and may also be offered at an off-site location on the Friday before the run; details are subject to confirmation. Bibs must be displayed on the front of the outermost garment; participants without a bib will be removed from the course and not allowed to finish. Runners predicting a pace faster than 6 minute/mile will be seeded in the front corral.
The event is currently not timed. Water will be available along the route and at the finish area. Strollers and wheelchairs are permitted, and firefighter turnout gear and military backpacks are allowed. Donations are accepted for six weeks after the event.
