Event Overview
The Fort Gordon Marine Mud Challenge is an obstacle course event taking place at Fort Gordon, Georgia. The course is approximately 4 miles long and features an off-road route with more than 30 obstacles, a stream crossing, and hills. Participants should expect mud and are advised to wear old clothes and shoes, with a change of clothes recommended.

There are competitive and non-competitive categories. The competitive category is described as being for athletes who intend to compete to win and can run the entire course while completing every obstacle. All runners are timed using electronic timing. Participants must be 13 years of age or older, though this requirement can be waived with parent or guardian approval.
Logistics and Support
The event uses electronic timing. Participants register individually but can run with friends by gathering at the same start time. Free parking is available near the race start. Wash-down and changing facilities will be provided, and water is available during and after the event. Gate 6 is designated for visitors without a Department of Defense ID card; non-DoD pass holders must preregister online for a visitor pass at least 24 hours in advance. All vehicle occupants over 16 must show valid picture ID at the gate.
