7th Annual Run For Hope
The Run For Hope is a community athletics event based in Augusta, Georgia. The event serves as a fundraiser for the Augusta Dream Center, a nonprofit organization that provides essential services such as food, clothing, and healthcare resources to individuals and families throughout the region.
Participants have the choice of three distinct activities:
- 5K Run
- 5K Walk
- 100 Yards Kiddie Dash
The 5K course starts and finishes at the Augusta Dream Center on Peach Orchard Road. The route takes participants through the South Augusta neighborhoods where the organization’s support programs are active. For the 100 Yards Kiddie Dash, all participants receive a medal.
Race day registration is available on-site during designated morning windows. 5K participants who complete their registration before August 30th are guaranteed an event t-shirt. For those registering after this date, extra t-shirts are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. An awards ceremony follows the completion of the 5K events. Awards are presented to the top male and female finishers, as well as to winners in various age groups, ranging from 12 and under to 60 and over. Pre-race packet pickup is hosted at Fleet Feet Augusta. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
