Coal Mine Trail Run
The Coal Mine Trail Run offers two measured trail races that start at Wye Park in Cle Elum and follow a route that climbs toward the historic town of Roslyn. The course passes through the local urban forest and returns to Cle Elum for a downhill finish, passing historic coal mining landscapes and forested trail sections. Runners can expect autumn colors and cool Pacific Northwest Indian Summer air on the route.
Distances offered:
- 10K, 6.2 miles
- 15K, 9.3 miles
The event includes chip timing and provides participants with a Junkbrand headband, a commemorative medal, a chip-timed bib, and after-race snacks. A three-hour time limit applies to the event. Short sleeve recycled poly-rayon shirts are available for an additional cost; sizes Small through XL are $20 and 2XL is $25, with a shirt cutoff date of August 31st. Entry fees listed for the event options are $40 for the 10K and $50 for the 15K.
