Walkers can choose 34 km, 21.1 km, 15 km or 5 km on Hawke’s Bay trails across private land, alongside the running races.
October 2026
Routes of 5.8km, 12.3km and 14.5km start and finish at Black Barn Vineyards on gravel, vineyard trails and quiet rural roads with some climbs.
The event offers walk options of 2.5 km, 5 km, 7.5 km and 10 km (laps of 2.5 km) at Mitre 10 HB Sports Park, Hastings alongside the triathlon events.
November 2026
Walkers can join the Run Walk distance of 21.1 km in Ahuriri, Napier, starting from 4 Hardinge Road alongside the triathlon; a quarter run of 10.5 km is also offered.
