Ironmāori Quarter : Ahuriri, Napier
Ironmāori Quarter is a multi-discipline race held in Ahuriri, Napier on Saturday 7 November 2026. The event combines a sea swim, a road cycle and a multi-lap run around the event precinct on Hardinge Road.
Distances:
- 1 km swim : 1 lap
- 50 km cycle : 1 lap
- 10.5 km run : 3 laps
Race entry options include Individual, Team (3-person), AquaBike, Duathlon, AquaBike Team, Duathlon Team, and Solo Discipline entries for swim, bike or run. Age limits are 16 years and older for Individuals, and 15 years and older for Teams and Solo Disciplines. Five-year age-group categories determine trophy awards, with overall male and female trophies and team category trophies.
Registration and race pack pick up occur at the Registration Tent in the Event Village near the finish area. Transition racking is available for Individual entrants; Teams and Solo Cyclists retain bikes until their start area. Timing chips are issued in race packs and must be returned at the finish.
Swim rules note that wetsuits are compulsory and swimmers start in waves of up to 50; less confident swimmers are asked to start at the back. The course is buoy-marked and lifeguards monitor the swim. Participants should follow marshal instructions and read the Event Manual for full race procedures.
