The Next Loop Endurance Series - New England
The Next Loop Endurance Series presents a trail-running event in Wrentham, Massachusetts, centered on a 3.1-mile (5K) loop course. This format provides athletes with consistent access to a main aid station and personal gear staging areas every lap, simplifying logistics for both runners and their support crews. Participants can choose between two specific distance challenges:
- 50 Mile Challenge
- 40 Mile Challenge
The 50 Mile Challenge consists of 16 loops of the trail course. This race follows a continuous running format rather than an hourly structure and is subject to a strict 12-hour hard cutoff. The event features a mass start specifically for 50-mile competitors and is limited to a field of 75 runners. Results are recorded using chip timing, with splits posted for every completed lap to help athletes track their pacing and performance trends.
Athletes may stage their gear at their vehicles or within a designated staging area. Pacers are permitted to join runners on the course starting at 4:00 PM. All pacers must check in at a designated station, wear official identification, and follow standard trail-running rules regarding gear and nutrition. The event recognizes multiple age divisions, including Open, Masters (ages 50-69), and Grand Masters (ages 70+). Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
