53rd Annual Walpole Labor Day Road Race
The Walpole Labor Day Road Race is an annual community event held at Walpole High School in Massachusetts. This long-standing tradition serves as the primary fundraiser to support the local high school cross country and track and field programs. The event offers multiple distances and participation formats to accommodate different preferences.
Available distances include:
- 10 km run (USATF certified course)
- 5 km run/walk (USATF certified course)
- 1 mile youth fun run
- Virtual 5 km and 10 km options
The courses for both the 5 km and 10 km races are USATF certified, and both start and finish at Walpole High School. Participants in the 5 km event are permitted to use strollers, provided they line up at the rear of the starting group for safety. Individuals registered for the virtual editions or those who need to change their format are allowed to switch between in-person and virtual events.
Participants who register by August 15 receive an official event t-shirt. All finishers across the various events are awarded a finisher's medal. Special awards are available for top performers in the in-person races, including trophies for the first-place male and female finishers in the 10 km race, and placement medals for the top three finishers in both the 5 km and 10 km categories.
