53rd Annual Walpole Labor Day Road Race
The event takes place on September 7, 2026, at Walpole High School, 275 Common Street, Walpole, MA. It includes in-person and virtual options and supports the Walpole High School Cross Country and Track and Field programs, which serve more than 200 athletes across six seasons.
Distances offered:
- 10K road race, in-person or virtual
- 5K run/walk, in-person or virtual
- One mile youth fun run
- Virtual 5K and 10K options
Registration opens May 1, 2026. Entry fee structure lists a pre-registration fee of $40 before race weekend, a regular race fee of $45, reduced rates of $25 for ages 13 and younger and ages 65 and older, and a Youth Mile fee of $25. Participants who register by August 1 receive the 2026 event T-shirt. All participants receive a finisher's medal.
The 10K and 5K courses are USATF certified (certification numbers MA18015JK and MA18016JK). In-person awards include engraved placement medals, engraved trophies, and a team plaque displayed at Walpole High School; age group awards are not being issued this year. Strollers are permitted in the 5K and should line up at the back of the starting pack. Participants may switch between virtual and in-person entries at no cost.
