53rd Annual Walpole Labor Day Road Race
The event on September 7, 2026 in Walpole, Massachusetts raises funds for Walpole High School cross country and track and field programs. Proceeds support more than 200 Walpole High School athletes across six seasons.
Races start and finish at Walpole High School, 275 Common Street. The program includes multiple distances:
- 10K run, USATF certified (Certification #MA18015JK)
- 5K run and walk, USATF certified (Certification #MA18016JK)
- 1 mile youth fun run
Entry fee tiers include reduced youth and senior pricing and a separate fee for the youth mile. Participants who register by August 1 receive the official race T-shirt, and all participants receive a finisher's medal. An in-person option and a Virtual Edition are offered; participants may switch between virtual and in-person options without cost.
Awards for in-person events recognize top finishers with placement medals, winners with trophies, and team winners with a team plaque displayed at Walpole High School. Strollers are permitted in the 5K when positioned at the back of the starting pack. For safety reasons, dogs are not allowed on the course during the races.
