Black Goose Half Marathon

Event overview
The Black Goose offers three distances:
- Half Marathon
- 10k
- 5k
The event takes place on September 6, 2026, at Pierce Field / Pierce Memorial Stadium in East Providence, Rhode Island. The half marathon course is certified. All three races finish inside Pierce Memorial Stadium.
Course
The half marathon starts and finishes at Pierce Memorial Stadium and follows Lyons Ave, Veterans Memorial Parkway, and returns on the East Bay Bike Path. The route includes views of Narragansett Bay and the City of Providence. There are seven water stations along the courses. Porta potties are provided at mile 4.
Logistics and awards
Timing is chip-based. The half marathon has a four hour time limit. Packet pick up is available on race day only. Online registrants receive a t-shirt if they register by the event deadline. All participants receive a finisher medal. Trophies are awarded to the overall male and female in the half marathon and the 5k. Age group awards are given for the half marathon only.
