About the race
The Seaside Turkey Trot is an annual community Thanksgiving Day fun run and walk in Seaside, Oregon. The event offers a 5K run/walk route through downtown Seaside, along the historic Seaside Promenade, and beside the Pacific Ocean. It is presented as family and pet friendly, with participants encouraged to wear Thanksgiving themed costumes.
The event begins and ends at the Sunset Recreation Center in Seaside. Every participant who crosses the finish line receives a ribbon. Prizes are awarded for best spirit. Organizers encourage pre-registration; the event is reported to sell out each year. Registration fees include a t-shirt for participants who pre-register while supplies last. The Turkey Trot is supported by local sponsors and received funding from a grant by the City of Seaside Tourism Advisory Committee using room tax dollars.
