About the race
Rainbow Falls Holiday 5K & Kids Run takes place in Golden Gate Park with the start and finish at JFK Drive and Transverse Drive. The program includes a 5K and a separate kids run that begins after the 5K finishes.
The 5K course follows city park roads. Runners head eastbound on Kennedy Drive, then turn right uphill onto Stow Lake Drive and proceed to a turnaround cone (.06m). Participants then reverse direction, return to Kennedy Drive, and continue east up Kennedy Drive to McLaren Lodge. The course turns at a barricade at Kezar Drive, returns toward the start, and then turns right onto East Conservatory Drive. Runners follow East Conservatory Drive up and around before returning to Kennedy Drive and finishing back at the start/finish area at JFK Drive and Transverse Drive.
