CajunMan Tri, Du & 5K
CajunMan is a multisport event in Lafayette, Louisiana on September 6, 2026 at 200 Perimeter Rd., Lafayette, LA 70508. The event offers several race formats including individual triathlon, duathlon, a beginner triathlon, an aquabike, a standalone 5K run, and relay teams of two or three participants.
Race distances include:
- Tri: 800 m swim, 20 mile bike, 5K run
- Du: 5K run, 20 mile bike, 5K run
- Beginner Tri: 400 m swim, 20 mile bike, 5K run
- Aquabike: 800 m swim and 20 mile bike
- 5K run
The swim takes place as an open water swim in the University of Louisiana ski lake. The bike course runs on open roads with police and volunteer support. The run is an out-and-back 5K with runners advised to stay to the left along the course. The swim uses a time trial start format.
Packet pick up is available before race day at Acadiana Bicycle Co and there is limited packet pick up at the race site on race morning. Finisher prizes are awarded to all who complete their event. Age group and overall awards are given to top finishers; unclaimed awards will not be mailed. A post-race gathering with food and beer is planned and an awards ceremony follows the race.
