Ush One See 5K & 1 Mile Fun Run
Ush One See 5K & 1 Mile Fun Run takes place on September 19, 2026, at River Ranch Town Square in Lafayette, LA. The event is organized by Ush One See, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit created in honor of the organizer's son to raise awareness of Usher Syndrome in Acadiana and to fund research toward a potential cure for the vision loss associated with Usher Syndrome Type 1C, the French/Acadian strand.

The event program includes kids entertainment such as an inflatable jump and on-site refreshments including water, sports drinks, fruit, donuts, and Cajun food. Team registration is offered and some teams may arrange team shirts that are ordered separately. Additional race t-shirts and tanks are available for purchase in youth and adult sizes; orders placed by August 25 are guaranteed for packet pickup.
Registration fees follow Early Bird, Regular, and Race Day tiers for each distance. Packet pickup is scheduled Friday, September 18 at the Community Foundation of Acadiana, 1035 Camellia Blvd, Ste 100, Lafayette, and packets can also be collected at River Ranch Town Square on race day. Age groups and awards are specified for both distances, with overall winners and age-group prizes; visually impaired categories have separate overall awards.
