The health expo follows the walk/run and is free to the public. The expo will include vendors from various organizations, free food, door prizes, and guest speakers.
The event supports people living with sickle cell disease. Sickle cell disease is an inherited red blood disorder in which red blood cells become C-shaped, hard, and sticky, which can block small blood vessels and cause pain crises. The event’s proceeds benefit the Sickle Cell Association of South Louisiana and community members affected by the condition. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
