Bournemouth International Triathlon
The Bournemouth International Triathlon is scheduled for 13 September 2026 and is based at West Cliff Gardens on the west side of Bournemouth Pier. The swim for sprint and standard distances starts from the award winning blue flag beach below the zig zag of West Cliff Gardens. The bike courses head out of Bournemouth toward the market town of Ringwood on the edge of The New Forest. Competitors finish by running along the promenade and returning to the sand.
The event has been contested by thousands of athletes, including Olympians and competitors who later turned professional. A 2025 participant review described the sea swim as flat and well marshalled and the run as flat along the promenade.

- Sprint Distance Triathlon: 750m swim, 20km bike, 5km run
- Standard Distance Triathlon: 1500m swim, 40km bike, 10km run
- Aquathlon Sprint: 750m swim, 5km run
- Aquabike Standard: 1500m swim, 40km bike
Entry fees listed for the event range from £47 to £122 depending on category. The organiser offers volunteer marshal roles that include duties such as car parking, registration, course marshalling and water stops; volunteers are provided with a high visibility vest and are issued a free entry code as a thank you.
