Bournemouth International Triathlon
The Bournemouth International Triathlon takes place at West Cliff Gardens, situated on the west side of Bournemouth Pier. This long-standing event on the South Coast features a variety of multi-sport formats, including full triathlons, aquabike, and aquathlon options.
The competition begins with a swim stage departing from a blue flag beach located near the zigzag path of West Cliff Gardens. Following the swim, participants transition to a bike course that travels out of Bournemouth toward the market town of Ringwood on the edge of The New Forest. The final leg consists of a run along the promenade, with the race concluding on the sand.

- Sprint Distance Triathlon: 750m swim, 20km bike, 5km run
- Standard Distance Triathlon: 1500m swim, 40km bike, 10km run
- Aquathlon Sprint: 750m swim, 5km run
- Aquabike Standard: 1500m swim, 40km bike
- Relay Standard: 1500m swim, 40km bike, 10km run
The run course is situated on a flat promenade, providing views of the coast. While the bike section includes some elevation changes, it is signposted and utilizes fast roads. The event utilizes mass starts for the different waves. While there is no official event car park, several public parking options are available in the Bournemouth area.
