Bournemouth International Triathlon - West Cliff Gardens
Bournemouth International Triathlon is scheduled for 13 September 2026 and takes place at West Cliff Gardens, on the west side of Bournemouth Pier. Swim starts are from the award-winning blue flag beach beneath the zig zag of West Cliff Gardens.
The course sends athletes out of Bournemouth on a bike route that runs toward the market town of Ringwood on the edge of The New Forest. The race concludes with a run along the promenade that finishes back on the sand.
Routes include:
- Sprint Distance Triathlon: 750m swim, 20km bike, 5km run
- Standard Distance Triathlon: 1500m swim, 40km bike, 10km run
- Aquathlon Sprint: 750m swim, 5km run
- Aquabike Standard: 1500m swim, 40km bike
Entry options and prices vary; listed rates range from £47 to £122. Volunteers support the event with tasks such as car parking, registration, marshalling and water stations; volunteers receive a high visibility vest and a free entry code as a thank you.
