Event overview
Challenging Events Ltd stages the Bournemouth International Triathlon on 13 September 2026 in West Cliff Gardens, Bournemouth, Dorset (BH2 5HP). The event uses the blue flag beach for swim starts and finishes on the sand after a run along the promenade. The bike course heads out of Bournemouth toward the market town of Ringwood on the edge of the New Forest.
Race formats and route
- Sprint Distance Triathlon: 750m swim, 20km bike, 5km run
- Standard Distance Triathlon: 1500m swim, 40km bike, 10km run
- Aquathlon Sprint: 750m swim, 5km run
- Aquabike Standard: 1500m swim, 40km bike
Swims start from the beach below West Cliff Gardens. The bike routes leave Bournemouth and follow a road course toward Ringwood. The run returns along the promenade to the beach finish.
Location and logistics
There is no official event car park; several public car parks are available nearby. The organiser provides event marshals and volunteer roles; volunteers are given a high visibility vest and receive a free entry code as a thank you.
