Bournemouth International Triathlon
Bournemouth International Triathlon takes place on 13 September 2026 at West Cliff Gardens in Bournemouth. The event is located on the west side of Bournemouth Pier and uses the award winning blue flag beach for swim starts beneath the zig zag of West Cliff Gardens.
The bike course heads out of Bournemouth on a route towards the market town of Ringwood at the edge of The New Forest. The run returns along the seafront promenade and finishes back on the sand.
Routes include:
- Sprint Distance Triathlon: 750 m swim, 20 km bike, 5 km run
- Standard Distance Triathlon: 1500 m swim, 40 km bike, 10 km run
- Aquathlon Sprint: 750 m swim, 5 km run
- Aquabike Standard: 1500 m swim, 40 km bike
Volunteers support event operations with tasks such as car parking, registration, marshalling and running water stations. Volunteers are provided with a high visibility vest and receive a free entry code.
