Lismore Samson Fitness Challenge
The Lismore Samson Fitness Challenge is a multi-event fitness fundraiser held at Hepburn Park Lismore across 5 and 6 March 2027. The event raises funds for Our Kids, a local charity that purchases paediatric equipment for Lismore Base Hospital and surrounding hospitals in the Northern Rivers.
The core Team Samson format is a four-person team event that requires completion of nine distinct challenges. These include strength and endurance tasks such as a farmers walk with jerry cans, a prowler push, a 130 kg truck tyre flip, a burpee challenge, a sled plug and a complex obstacle course. The format also incorporates running and swimming elements:
- 2x2 km run
- 1 km swim
The fastest team to complete all nine challenges is awarded the Samson title for the year. The program also includes separate event categories: Samson Solo on Friday night, Team Samson on Saturday, Team Samson Teen and Junior on Saturday, and Samson Kids on Saturday. Naming partners are listed for the event, and the Samson event has previously contributed equipment purchases for the Special Care Nursery at Lismore Base Hospital.
