WMU Turkey Trot
The WMU Turkey Trot is an annual early-Thanksgiving running event hosted at the WMU Student Recreation Center, 1903 W Michigan Ave, Kalamazoo, MI. The event offers two 5K formats for participants.

- 5K Walk
Online registration opens July 20, 2026. Regular online registration closes November 19, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. EST with a $30 race fee; online late registration is available November 20 and November 21 at a $35 race fee. There are two registration options: Just the Race (no shirt) for $30 and All the Swag, which includes a Dri-Fit race shirt, for $45. Dri-Fit shirts in 2XL and 3XL incur an additional $2.50. Registrations submitted by November 1 are guaranteed a shirt size; later registrations are not guaranteed their selected size. Mail-in registrations are not accepted for 2026; online registration is required. In-person registrations are accepted on site on race day.
Packet pickup is scheduled for Friday, November 20 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the WMU Student Recreation Center indoor tennis courts. Awards are given for overall top male and female in both the run and walk divisions, and the event includes a costume contest. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
