Frozen Buns Run 2027 13th Annual
The Frozen Buns Run on New Year’s Day 2027 is hosted by Western Arkansas Runners in Fort Smith, Arkansas. The event includes a 5K (3.1 miles) fun run and continues a local tradition that began over a decade ago.
Registration opens 1 August 2026 and closes 2 September 2026. The registration fee for the 5K is $20. Runners who register by 13 December will receive a T-shirt. All participants receive a finishers award and there will be awards presented after the run.
Event facilities and offerings include hot chocolate, varieties of chili, other food items, and warming options such as an outdoor fire pit and indoor space if weather requires. Participants are invited to bring shared beverages for socializing after the run. Volunteer opportunities are available during registration.
Early packet pickup is available on 31 December at the WAR building, 7020 Taylor Avenue, Fort Smith. Previous years long sleeve T-shirts will be available for purchase for as low as $5. Club membership renewal is offered at $20 for individuals and $35 for families. The organizers state the event will proceed unless extreme weather conditions occur.
