CHM 5K Teacher Trot - Rapid City
The CHM 5K Teacher Trot is an annual community race organized by Children's House Montessori, a nonprofit school with a 35 year history that serves students ages 3 to 12 across two Rapid City locations. The school is state accredited for grades K to 6 and is licensed by the Department of Social Services. This is the 4th annual Teacher Trot and the event takes place at Raider Park with the start and finish at the Stevens High School Practice Football Field. Parking is available at 4021 Range Rd and in the Stevens High School parking lot.
The race raises funds to send assistants to Montessori Teacher Training, a two year program that costs approximately $15,000 to $20,000 per person, supporting the school in maintaining Montessori credentialed teachers at every classroom level. The event includes race t-shirts and race day swag bags, family activities such as bouncy houses, food trucks, and amenities for attendees including space for picnic blankets or lawn chairs.
