Zorvino Vineyards Wine Run 5k
The Zorvino Vineyards Wine Run 5k takes place in Sandown, New Hampshire. The event features a 5 km course that starts and finishes on the grounds of Zorvino Vineyards. Participants complete a loop around the vineyards before heading onto Main Street. The route continues through Phillipswood Road, Beechwood, and Sweetfern Road before returning to the finish line at the winery. The course consists of mostly paved surfaces and includes some sections with inclines.
The event is chip-timed, and results are posted online. Both runners and walkers are permitted to participate. Participants receive a ring-spun cotton T-shirt, a finisher medal, and a race bib. Following the run, participants of legal drinking age receive a shatterproof, collapsible wine glass and a pour of wine. Minors are permitted to participate with a registration that includes the shirt, medal, and bib, though they do not receive the wine glass or beverage.
Awards are presented to the top three finishers in several age categories, ranging from 19 and under to 80 and over. These categories are organized in 10-year increments. To be eligible for an award, participants must start with the first group or wave. Awards are available for pickup at the registration table on the day of the event.
Strollers are permitted on the course, though the presence of uneven ground is noted. Dogs are not allowed on the property due to regulations regarding produce and vegetable farms. The event supports Nik's Wish as its charity partner. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
