Zoom San Francisco

Zoom San Francisco is a set of trail and running events based at East Beach (East Bluff picnic area), 1199 East Beach, San Francisco, CA 94129. All races start and finish at East Beach and head west along the Golden Gate Promenade.

The courses use established trails and coastal routes. The 5K route climbs the Battery East trail to the Golden Gate Bridge and returns to the finish at East Beach. The 10K and Half Marathon pass underneath the Golden Gate and follow the Coastal Trail to Baker Beach with views of the Pacific Ocean. The 10K turns around at the Baker Beach aid station. Half Marathon runners continue through Seacliff and along the Coastal Trail to a turnaround at Lands End that overlooks the historic Sutro Baths.

Distances for the event were surveyed using a Rolatape surveyor's measuring wheel. Individual entries include youth categories for the 5K and 10K, a short kids dash for ages 6 and younger, and a Coastal Testing distance. Courses combine paved promenade sections and coastal trail segments; aid station placement is noted at Baker Beach for the 10K turnaround.
