The Krampus Cross Country
The Krampus Cross Country is a set of live and virtual races held around early December 2026. The live event takes place in San Francisco at the Ecology Trail Head at the end of Barnard Avenue. A virtual option is offered for participants who run remotely.
Distances offered:
- 5K - live and virtual options
- 10K - live and virtual options
- Naughty Nine Miler - live and virtual options
All registered participants, whether live or virtual, receive event items that include a wooden race medallion, a Krampus-themed t-shirt, and a beer sampler stein. Post-run beverages and pre-packaged snacks are provided at the live event, with some food items coming from local vendors.
There are pre-race bib and shirt pickup events and a BREWFEST on the Friday before the live race at local venues, including A Runner's Mind and Presidio Sports Basement. If the race is canceled for reasons beyond the organizers' control, the event will not issue refunds, transfers, or credits; instead, the organizers will ship race items to participants and provide instructions for running the course independently and submitting results.
Registration fees vary by distance and by live or virtual entry. The organizers state they cannot support refunds, transfers, or credits for participant injury, schedule changes, or other personal matters that prevent attendance. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
