Event overview
The Peacock Gap Trail Run is a trail race held on December 6, 2025, at China Camp State Park near Miwok Meadows in San Rafael, California (800 N. San Pedro Road). The event offers three distances:

Course and race logistics
Courses run mostly on dirt single-track and non-technical fire roads with sections of moderate technical trail. Runners pass forested sections and open trails with views of Mt. Tam, San Pablo Bay, and San Francisco Bay. The route includes a notable climb beginning about 1.5 miles into the course. Distance and elevation figures provided:
- 30K: 19.5 miles, 2,735 ft elevation gain
- Half Marathon: 13.1 miles, 1,800 ft elevation gain
- 10K: 6.3 miles, 1,140 ft elevation gain
Aid stations stock energy gels, chews, stroopwafels, trail mix, chips, soda, water, Skratch Labs hydration mix, fruit, and basic first aid items. The event is cupless; runners must carry their own bottle or reusable cup. Disposable timing chips are attached to the back of each bib. Drop bag service is not available. Parking is free along N.
