Event details
The Peacock Gap Trail Run takes place on December 6, 2025, at China Camp State Park and Harry Barbier Park in San Rafael, California. The event includes three trail distances and has a total participant capacity of 275 across all distances. The 30K race has a six-hour time limit. Parking is free; participants are asked to park along N. San Pedro Road at the entrance to Miwok Meadows and walk up the dirt access road to the start/finish area.

Distances and elevation:
- 30K - 19.5 miles, 2,735 ft elevation gain
- Half Marathon - 13.1 miles, 1,800 ft elevation gain
- 10K - 6.3 miles, 1,140 ft elevation gain
Most of the routes run on moderately technical dirt trails and on non-technical fire roads. Hiking or trekking poles are permitted. Courses are marked with colored surveyor ribbon approximately every 200 meters; blue ribbon indicates a wrong-way trail and must not be followed. Races are chip timed using MyLaps and Race Director, with disposable chips attached to the back of each bib. Aid stations provide a variety of foods and drinks such as energy gels, Stroopwafels, trail mix, chips, PB&J, Coke, water, Skratch hydration mix, and seasonal fruit. This is a cupless event, so runners are responsible for carrying their own water bottle or reusable cup; reusable cups are available for purchase at the event.
