Midway Shelter Winter Run - Event details
The Midway Shelter Winter Run is an annual fundraising event held on December 5, 2026 at the Harbor Bay Ferry Terminal on Bay Farm Island in Alameda, CA. The event offers multiple race distances and takes place along the shoreline with views of San Francisco and Alameda Main Island.
The course is described as a flat out-and-back. The first half follows Harbor Bay Road with closed lanes for runners and the return uses shoreline trails. There is parking at the Ferry terminal and snacks and drinks are provided after the race. Packet pick up is scheduled on December 4 and December 5 at Lauren's Closet, 1420 Park St, Alameda.
The event supports Midway Shelter, an organization that provides emergency shelter to women and children experiencing homelessness. Midway Shelter operates in partnership with Alameda Homeless Network and Building Futures. Donations to support the shelter are tax deductible through the Alameda Homeless Network.
