Course and logistics
Course routing uses three colored loops: orange (summit loop), yellow (middle loop), and pink (perimeter loop). The 5 mi follows the orange loop; the 10 mi does the yellow then the orange; the 15 mi does pink, then yellow, then orange. Polka-dot flagging indicates turns; orange, yellow, and pink flagging mark the route after turns. Blue ribbons mark wrong-way junctions. If a runner goes off course, they should retrace to where they left the course.
Aid stations are fully stocked every 5 miles with fresh fruit, salty snacks, candy, water, and Skratch electrolyte drink; runners are advised to carry at least 20 oz of water between aid stations. The event is cupless: participants should bring their own fluid container; Hydrapak SpeedCups will be available for purchase at check-in. A chartered ferry from Tiburon is required; round-trip fare is $19 and is not included in the entry fee. Parking options include paid lots in Tiburon and a free asphalt lot 0.6 mi from the ferry. No dogs are allowed on Angel Island. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
