Event overview
Zoo Run Run at Nashville Zoo takes place on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at Nashville Zoo, 3777 Nolensville Pike, Nashville, TN 37211. The event marks the 20th anniversary of the Zoo Run Run and is held rain, snow, or shine. The course runs through the Zoo property and includes areas not normally open to the public and some off-road sections.

Race details
Registration offers timed and untimed options and is open to ages 5 through 99. Every registrant receives a long-sleeve performance t-shirt, a race bib, and post-race refreshments. A souvenir participant medal upgrade is available for an additional fee; medal upgrades are available for pickup at the race finish line on race day and cannot be held or shipped. Advance packet pick-up is scheduled for Thursday, February 26 and Friday, February 27 at the Zoo’s Croft Center.
Observers, children, and prizes
Race observers (ages 2 and up) require a Race Observer ticket for access to the start/finish Festival Field area. Children under age 2 are free. Young children ages 2-5 may ride in strollers but need an observer ticket for entry into the race area. The event uses start corrals and wave starts to reduce congestion. Prizes are awarded by chipped time with 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place medals and category awards; 1st place winners in each category receive four Zoo admission tickets.
