Zoo Run Run at Nashville Zoo
The Zoo Run Run at Nashville Zoo is a 5K event held on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at Nashville Zoo, 3777 Nolensville Pike, Nashville, TN 37211. The event offers two entry options:
- Chipped 5K RUN/WALK (Timed)
- 5K RUN/WALK (Untimed)
Registration opens December 19, 2025. Events are open to ages 5 to 99. The race is held regardless of weather.
Race details, logistics and prizes
The course passes through zoo property and includes areas not normally open to the public; parts of the course are off-road. Every registrant receives a long-sleeve performance t-shirt, a race bib and post-race refreshments. A participation medal upgrade is available for an additional fee; upgraded medals must be picked up at the race finish and cannot be held or shipped. Advance packet pickup is scheduled for the days before the event.
Race observers must purchase Race Observer tickets for access to the start/finish festival area; each person ages 2 and older needs a ticket. Children ages 2-5 riding in strollers require a Race Observer ticket; children under age 2 do not need a ticket. Pets are not allowed on zoo property.
Start corrals and wave starts will be used to reduce congestion, with timed runners starting ahead of untimed runners and walkers. Race prizes are awarded by chipped time across multiple age categories; first, second and third places receive medal recognition and first-place winners also receive four zoo admission tickets.
