Zoo Run Run - Nashville Zoo
Zoo Run Run is a 5K event at Nashville Zoo on February 27, 2027. The event offers both timed and untimed 5K options; the timed 5K uses chipped timing and awards medals by chipped time.
All race registrants receive a souvenir medal, a long-sleeve performance shirt, a race bib, and post-race refreshments. Registration for the listed events opens on December 18, 2026 and the two main registration options close on February 20, 2027. Registration fees are shown for the timed and untimed 5K categories.
The timed 5K includes award categories by chipped time: Overall Male/Female, Masters (40-49) Male/Female, Grandmasters (50-59) Male/Female, Age 15-18 Male/Female, and Age 10-14 Male/Female. First-place finishers in each award category receive four Zoo admission tickets.
Advance packet pickup is scheduled for Thursday, February 25 and Friday, February 26 at Nashville Zoo’s Croft Center from 8:00 am to 7:00 pm. The 2027 race begins inside the Zoo so observers have access to the Festival Field start/finish area; each person ages 2 and older who wishes to access that area needs a Race Observer ticket. Observer tickets do not include shirts or medals.
The course includes off-road sections. Strollers are allowed; pets are not permitted on Zoo property. Proceeds help fund the Zoo’s conservation work. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
