Zoo Run Run at Nashville Zoo presented by Panda Express - Nashville, TN
The event is a 5K run and walk held at Nashville Zoo, 3777 Nolensville Pike, Nashville TN 37211, on February 28, 2026. It marks the 20th anniversary of the Zoo Run Run and takes place on Zoo property, including sections not normally open to the public. The course includes some off-road sections and accommodates strollers designed for off-road use. Pets are not allowed on Zoo property.
Two participation formats are offered:
- 5K - chipped timed option
- 5K - untimed option
Registration includes a long sleeve performance shirt, a race bib, and post-race refreshments. A 20th anniversary shirt is included with registration and a souvenir medal upgrade is available for an additional fee while supplies last. Race prizes for timed entries are awarded by chipped time across multiple age and overall categories; first place winners in each category receive four Zoo admission tickets.
Advance packet pickup is scheduled for February 26 and 27 at the Nashville Zoo Croft Center. The event uses start corrals and wave starts to reduce congestion, with timed runners starting before untimed runners and walkers. Race observer access to the start and finish area requires a separate Race Observer ticket for persons ages 2 and older; children under age 2 are admitted free.
