Music City Turkey Trot
The Music City Turkey Trot is a Thanksgiving running event in Nashville that starts and finishes at Nissan Stadium and includes routes through Downtown Nashville. The event offers two distances:
- 5K
- 1 Mile
All paid participants receive a participant shirt at packet pickup and a finisher medal at the finish line. Packet pickup is required to collect the race number and shirt; one friend or family member may pick up an additional packet with the participant confirmation email and a copy of the participant's photo ID. Registration is non-refundable and non-deferrable. Transfers between distances are allowed with no transfer fee though any price difference will be charged; transferring registration to another individual incurs a $5 fee.
The event is dog friendly. A Doggie Dash add-on is available so dogs can run with a participant and receive a bib, medal, and bandana. There is no age limit to participate. The 5K has a one hour time limit. Restrooms and first aid are available at the start and finish area.
Course routes and parking details for the upcoming year may change; the organizer notes routes can be rerouted due to city ordinances or public safety agencies. Awards are given in multiple categories including a costume contest and age and gender divisions; awards must be picked up at the awards tent and cannot be mailed.
